Former Jacksonville Jaguar, Jimmy Smith, was arrested in Jacksonville last week on drug charges. He was arrested for possession of cocaine, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and driving on a suspended license. A Jacksonville judge set Smith’s bond at $11,500 and he was released, but Smith may have to go back to jail.
He has a pending DUI charge in Jacksonville and is out on bond on that charge. The state attorney’s office has moved the court to revoke his bond on the DUI case because he was arrested on other charges in Jacksonville. As long as the new criminal arrest is supported by probable cause, Smith’s bond can be revoked and he will remain in jail until the conclusion of his DUI case.
