Jacksonville Police Officer Will be Arrested and Charged with Lying
JSO police officer, Marcus Kilpatrick, will be arrested and charged in Jacksonville with giving a false statement to law enforcement (lying) and criminal negligence. He is accused of lying to the Florida Highway Patrol about having his emergency lights on after an accident that killed a resident of Jacksonville. Kilpatrick said he was chasing a car that possibly had illegal window tint.
The majority of Jacksonville Sheriff's Officers are good, hard working men and women, but the problem is there is no system to weed out the lying, rogue officers. These officers who make up facts to effectuate an arrest have a great support system that enables them to do as they wish. Police officers have great powers, including the right to take away your liberty and your life. Let's hope that in the future, bad police officers are taken off the force before someone else is killed.
