Jacksonville Beach Police Officer Injures Sunbather

A Jacksonville Beach Police Officer ran over a woman who was lying on the beach this weekend. The officer, Lewis Keller, drove over Ann Griffin in the middle of the day. At this time, no disciplinary actions have been taken against the Jacksonville police officer. Police officers who drive their SUV’s on the beach should have a set of rules governing their behavior because it is inherently dangerous to be driving a car, let alone a full blown sports utility vehicle over sand that people regularly lay down on.
