Last week, 142 people were arrested for cultivation of marijuana in Florida. The arrests were the result of “Operation Eagle Claw”, which was law enforcement’s attempt to target pot grow houses all over the state. More than 6800 pot plants were seized by police all over Florida.
You could be arrested for a drug felony in Jacksonville if you have even one marijuana plant growing and the plant was in your possession. Cultivation of Marijuana is a third degree felony punishable for up to 5 years in prison.
